Located in beautiful Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island The University of Prince Edward Island has approximately 4500 students.  Our conference takes place in Main Building on Campus (the photo on the left) which houses the Diversity & Social Justice Department, as well as other departments in the Arts Faculty. Located at 550 University Ave, we're only minutes from downtown (with public transportation available).

Prince Edward Island, called Abegweit (Land Cradled on the Waves) by the Mi'kmaq People is the smallest province in Canada, covering approximately 5,660 squared kilometers. With a population of approximately 145,000 people.  With 2 cities, Summerside in the west, and Charlottetown, the capital, which has a population of around 35,000 people. Red dirt covers the island, which gets its colour from the high iron content.
